Installation Guide

Please follow the steps below to easily complete the client installation and connect your FanX Drive device.

Step 1: Start the Installer

First, connect the FanX Drive device to your computer. After the system recognizes it, go to This PC, find the newly displayed CD Drive, and run the installer inside it.

Step 2: Agree to the User Agreement

In the installation wizard, select I have read and agree to confirm that you accept the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, then click Download.

Step 3: Complete the Client Installation

Wait for the client to download:
The system will automatically download the required installation files.

Agree to the license agreement:
After the download is complete, read and agree to the software License Agreement, then click I Agree.

Select the installation path:

• Default installation: The program will be installed to the C drive by default. Click Install directly.

• Custom installation: If you need to install it to another location, click Browse, then select your preferred installation path.

Step 4: Login and Device Registration

Register a new device:
After installation is complete and the client is launched, click New Device Registration.

Discover devices on the local network:
Go to the Discover New Devices page. The program will automatically scan and list available devices on the current local network.

Register and associate the device:
Select the device you want to use from the list, click Register, and follow the instructions to complete the account registration process for the device.

Create a local administrator account:
Create a local administrator account for the device to complete the initial device configuration.

Bind a FanX Cloud account (optional):
After binding a FanX Cloud account, you can enable the remote access service. You may also skip this step for now. If you need remote access later, go to System Settings > Device Connection to bind your account and enable the related services.

Step 5: Set the Storage Path

Specify a local storage location for your personal data, then click Start Initialization to complete the device configuration.

Step 6: Complete Setup

Wait for the connection:
The system will automatically complete the final configuration. Please wait patiently while the device establishes a connection with the system.

Start using it:
When the page automatically redirects to the main system interface, the connection is successful. You can now start using all features of FanX Drive.

Tip

After successfully activating the device on a Windows computer, you can log in to the same account on other devices, such as a mobile phone or Mac, and use it anywhere to easily transfer files across devices.
